In case you have a domain and a web hosting account for it, you will be able to create email accounts for personal or business purposes and to set them up with email software apps such as Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird. During the process, you will be able to pick one of the two popular email delivery protocols – IMAP or POP3. The first protocol will allow you to view all messages, but they will stay on the mail server, while with the second one, all email messages will be downloaded on the device where the mailbox is set up, unless you specifically choose a copy to be stored on the server. Thus, you can choose if you would like all your electronic communication to be stored on a single device, or if you would rather be able to view the email messages from different places. The latter option is pretty valuable for organizations where different people working on different computers need to have access to a certain mailbox.
